News

• Our Lab opened press day and demonstrated new concept mobility platform with Hyundai Motors in July, 2023. In-wheel motor driven smart trailer, LTE teleoperation EV platform and AI-based 3D object tracking technology were demonstrated around INHA campus.
• Dongwoo Seo received best thesis award (dynamics & control) from KSME (The Korean Society of Mechanical Engineers) in 2023.
• Prof. Kang received best teaching award at Inha univ. 2023.
• We received research funding from Hyundai Motor Company for the topic entitled as "Autonomous Group Driving (Platooning) Platform and Algorithm for Electric Mobility" at Nov. 2022.
• We received research funding from Hyundai Motor Company for the topic entitled as "Torque Vectoring Control of Autonomous Smart Trailer Platform for Electric Mobility" at Nov. 2022.
• We received NRF research funding for the topic entitled as "NASA 30kg deep space solar sail spacecraft with 400m rollable blades" (2022-2027).
• Undergrad. INHA-EV team received the 2nd place award from INHA VIP.
• Prof. Kang received 'Lee DonChul' award from KSNVE at fall conference 2021.
• We received research funding from Hyundai Motor Company for the topic entitled as "Scalable Block-Assembly Type Ultralight CFRP Chassis Platform for Electric Mobility" at Sep. 2021.
• We received research funding from Hyundai Motor Company for the topic entitled as "Development of Rollable CFRP Wing without permanent deformation for Personal Aerial Mobility" at Sep. 2020.
• Professor Kang will give his presentation on flexible multibody of heliogyro solar sail in AIAA SciTech 2020.
• We submitted two paper about NASA solar sail to Journal of AIAA with Professor KC Park (U. of Colorado).
• One journal paper on spin control of heliogyro solar sail has been accepted in Journal of Spacecraft and Rocket.
• Professor Natori at JAXA give us talk on space modular technology in Songdo, Nov 2019.
• Professor JY Kang had research meeting with NASA research group at NASA Langley research center in Nov, 2018.
• Professor NC Natori at JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) visited us and gave a valuable lecture on space structure in May, 2018.
• Professor JY Kang attended the workshop on “Advances in numerical methods for simulation, optimization, and uncertainty quantification of coupled physics problems" at U. of Colorado in April, 2018.
• We launched the space structure research such as deployable structure and Heliogyro solar sail with INHA-NASA joint research center in March, 2018.
• Two graduate students (Jaehyun Nam, Heehyuk Shin) joined the lab in March, 2018.
• We newly open DSVL (Dynamic Stability & Vibration Lab) at ME, INHA University in March, 2018.
