Space Technology

Space deployable structure such as space boom, mast and solar sail is investigated. Design, structural analysis, large deformable dynamics and packaging technology for Solar sail spacecrafts is under study. We collaborate with professor KC Park at U. of Colorado on the dynamics and control of a space solar sail technology. This technology will be the key technology in space mission in the near future.

Nonlinear Vibration

Large deformable dynamic structure is theoretically and numerically studied. The nonlinear vibration of rotating blades and shell structures in automotive, wind blade and space structure is investigated.
